Just when you think Rush can't get any nuttier -- he manages to.

The fact that anyone listens to this bozo, much less takes him seriously, just proves how far the Right Wing has fallen. Rush just sits in his booth and makes up the most inane junk, and his cult inhales it like the word of God. This clown is in love with the sound of his own voice, and his hyper-conservative fiction becomes blog fodder and topics of editorials by right wing pundits. Where is the truth? Where is patriotism?

Some folks just do not "unnerstan" when Rush has his tongue-in-his-cheek. A good depictuion of some Obama followers & supporters - otherwise pure BS. And I do not care for Obama as President.

talk about a "cult"...

a guy dumb enough to play with hypotheticals this farfetched (not to mention broadcasting them into the ears of 35 million people) is a guy you shouldn't trust.

Oh my gosh, I won't be able to take Obama past 2012 let alone 2016. Yikes.

Luv ya Rush. Very funny, but realistic bit. It could happen.

Aw comon Rush, if BO gets his cap and trade fiasco past the Senate, it's clear sailing for Ban Ke Moon (UN Secretary General) to be our President by then. It will be the frution of the entire AGW boondoggle.

Rush complaining about someone else's "cult-like followers"? Whatever.
The best thing that could happen to Limbaugh is a 3rd Obama term.

Wasn't there a movement among Republicans in the late 80s to amend the Constitution to (theoretically) let their cult leader Reagan run again? And didn't Giuliani try to strong-arm a change in the law to let him run for a third term after 9/11, basically on the premise that the city couldn't exist without his leadership? Someone with access to Lexis/Nexis databases and a higher masochism level than I possess could probably go back and see how strongly Limbaugh opposed those Republicans' cult-like appeal to people like him and our collective inability to get along without them....

And as usual, Rush proves that the rich have access to all the really good drugs....

Limbaugh talks about Obama siding with the guy who's trying to rip up the Honduran Constitution. Doesn't he realize that the Constitution of Honduras does not make any room for a military coup? If the President of Honduras was trying to rip the Consitution to threads, then he should have been removed in a lawful manner according to the Constitution.

I guess that this plain and simple fact hasn't dawned on Rush Limbaugh shouldn't be a surprise. Obama stands up for the rule of law, and this moron gets incensed! Figures.

Here's a good article on the topic:

I feel that Rush is right about obama trying to stay in office for life, I have had this same thought for along time. He love's all the attention he get's, the media just slobber's all over him, it's enough to make a person sick. right from the start of the primaries I couldn't believe my eye's. If we don't do something soon we won't have a country to call our own, it will belong to obama and his gang in DC. obama need's to be impeached !! only sure way to get rid of him !!!!!!

This is to folks like Carolynn and the dangerously misinformed Gabrielle: pull your heads out. Please.

First of all, the same legislator tried this bill 3 times while Bush was in office. And more importantly, even if this did go into effect (which it won't), it cannot apply to the sitting president.

I mean, do you people even bother to learn the first thing about news items you prattle on about? Do you?

Let's be real for one second... if you listen to Rush Limbaugh for anything more than a sad cackle at what a double standard buffoon he is, then you are just painfully ignorant to life on this planet. Frankly, his listeners are so willfully, painfully and proudly full-blown stupid that I'm amazed they have managed to stay alive this long.

Norine, my comments also go to you.

Try joining us in reality. Nothing you say has any merit whatsoever. And if pressed, you'd have zero factual back-up to show us.

Actually learn a thing or two, stop believing every single thing corporate media tells you and then come back to talk with the grownups. Mmmmkay?

If anyone says Mr. L has his tongue in his cheek here, they are tone-deaf. This is said too seriously to understand anything as "tongue-in-cheek".
Now, looking at the argument, I will not go back and show how Bush and Cheney bent the constitution to their purposes. I just find it interesting that conservatives talk themselves out of being a minority by stating that the Obama followers are "a bunch of minorities" following their leader in a "cult like" way.
1st: how do you form a majority? Find a way to please as many people as possible. The bunch of minorities behind Obama makes up around 60% of Americans. This is one majority. The 25% who are against him are one minority - even if you certainly could split them up into Anti-State extremists, religious extremists, just plain conservatives and cult-like followers of Rush L. Perhaps there would be some more groups but this way you have already split the 25% into four groups. I view them as one opposing minority.
People who take Limbaugh and Fox seriously are, it seems, all too ready to twist anything they hear into something they think is right. And, of course they like to hear things that scare them, like Obama is a dictator.
I have yet to hear of anything that would even have me think that the suspicion is in any way justified!

I am one of those cult followers of Obama.
It is really dangerous to have a nut job like Rush out there spewing his anger and hate. There are enough crazies on the fringe that he gets all worked up and who knows what can happen.
I find it hard to believe that any rational person would believe anything he has to say.
I didn't listen to his craziness even when I wasn't part of the so called "Obama Cult".

I read the article that you are speaking about the other day and she was 100% right about Obama's direction! I sent this article everywhere I could think of.

But I would like as may people to read this other article that I found on Fox this morning:

This government is crazy, Mad and we need to do something!!!

Rush has it almost all right. I think the only thing that he is missing is that Obama's real intention goes a lot further. He "Obama" is striving to be the one world leader. He may make Hitler look like an angel by the time he is done with this country and world. SCARRY!!

Rush thinks Hussien O wants to clear the way for a third term. My God if this man is elected for a second term, I will jump off a bridge. Of course he will have destroyed the country so much by 2012 I won't want to live here any longer anyway. He reminds me of Michael Jackson - a replusive man with a cult following.

Did not the Dem's float this balloon with Bill Clinton? But what makes it scary is that when you look at election results is that the electorate that put him in office did so only on the fact that he was the "Black" candidate. He was elected to undo 200 years of perceived racism. And if they can get him in office past term limits then you will see a lot of upheaval in the country from those that will now be in the minority, descendants of European immigrants.

But as has been noted he has to get a second term first...

Frankly, I think Rush is being too conservative in his prophecy here. In 1996, Clinton sought and received legal advice assuring him that as Commander in Chief, he could delegate to the UN authority over the military (go ahead, Google UN military authority).

Think our nation is too big for a coup? Imagine this scenario: O & Co. declare marshall law, cancel the 2012 elections, and order troops into U.S. cities to quell any dissent/riots/uprisings. Of course, members of the military who refuse such orders will be arrested and UN troops (yeah, from those Euro and Asian nations that would love to see us under fascist rule) will take their place. How many Americans are willing to lay their lives on the line as their ancestors did in 1775? We've become a nation of self-preservationists.

But back to reality... O & Co. are trying to shove every whacko bill through now because in reality, they only have until the end of 2009. In 2010, too many legislators are going to be worrying about their jobs (aka getting re-elected) to fall in step with unpopular and disastrous ideas. Unfortunately, they can do a helluva lot of damage in 11 months time.

Go take a pill or something. The amendment introduced to repeal the 22nd amendment WAS INTRODUCED THREE TIMES DURING THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION!!!!! There is no conspiricy, Barack Obama is most certainly a U.S. citizen, and people like you are going to have egg all over their faces when he hands over power in 2012 or 2016. If you only listen to Limbaugh, you're going to end up like those people who dug all those bunkers in Idaho back in the 70s so they could survive Armageddon or something.

I think he's got a good point - a fantastic point. Ever since George W. Obama took office, it's pretty much been more of the same. Love him or otherwise, the president's true colors are coming out and they don't have much to do with what what he was selling during the campaign.

Call Mr. Limbaugh all the things you want - drug user, fatso, bigot; marginalize his points to extremism. I hear it day in and day out from my friends who call themselves Democrats, this president is showing more interest in power than in voters. When it comes time, a good crisis will emerge and in some tricky little way, George W. Obama will try and figure out a way to stick around for another term.

Snowhare, you are absolutely wrong.

About 23% of Americans (assuming the census is correct at 300 million) voted for BO. The rest either voted for McCain, another candidate from a minor party, or stayed home. Not exactly the sweeping mandate BO and his MSM cronies would have you believe they have now is it.

Only 23%, and that includes the dead people and other fraudulent votes ACORN drummed up, with a President as "unpopular" as Bush was and the vote was still not a landslide victory. You'll notice that most of the terrible legislation like Cap and Tax doesn't take place until 2012, after BO has gained re-election momentum. Rush may or may not be correct, but viewing BO's narcissistic tendencies I'd lean slightly towards him being correct, though I hope he's very wrong.

Actually Obama did not stand up for law, he stood up for a man who attempted to break the law by defying the Supreme Court and the Honduran legislature in attempting to re-write the Honduran Constitution. I've read that he military acted at the behest of the legislature, which in Honduras it answers to both the President and the Legislature. That's about as much as I know of Honduran law, are you an expert in Honduran law?

Bah, Dems were saying the same thing about Bush. I don't think anyone who become president wants to stay president...you get lifetime perks, and if you're lucky, an awesome legacy that you can ride till you're dead. why go through all the hassle of being president for longer than eight years?

We ARE remembering, are we not, that Rep. Jose Serrano made - ON JAN. 2nd 2009 - exactly that move ...?

The NY Congressman introduced the call to REPEAL the 22nd amendment, to REPEAL term limits for the President.

Considering that Congress was recessed for the holidays, this is an INSTANTANEOUS response to Obama's election to the Presidency.

This is not far fetched. ...

Just when you think Rush has laid off the drugs, he we go. This guy is seriously deranged. Obama is driving him to distraction by simply running the country. Third term, rushie? And please don't get me started on this remark:

'' And they won't care a whit about the legalities that might be trampled. Half of the legalities if they don't even know about them because they haven't been properly educated.''

Show me your educational credentials, and i might change my mind about how stupid you come across. make an appointment, Rush. You need help...and soon.
