Yes, since it was Gibson and Couric who "set up" Palin to say this, at gunpoint:

"As Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there, they are right next to our state."

Maybe the solution is that Palin does not do any inteviews, since this is repeated pattern with her. Does very well when she has to read off a script, or deliver canned responses to most anticipated questions.

That way there will be no follow-ups, and no "gotchas".

YES, I COUNTED AT LEAST 12 ERRORS - guess he couldn't remember Radio was the media in those days of FDR. . . . . . . . . IT STILL ALL BOILS DOWN TO THE TRUTH - PALIN IS MORE EXPERIENCED THAN THE CANDIDATE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT (whats his name: BHO), so he and his supporters have to play all the dirty tricks they can to try to keep as many people as they can, too buisy worrying about his attacks on McCain / Palin, so they won't focus on the EXPERIENCE DEFICIT he has. After-all it seems to be working with his mentally-deminished followers !!!!

Simple remedy for the Charlie Gibson / Katie Couric style of interview:

When one candidate gets set-up (in order to damage them in the publics eyes), this should also be done to the oppossing candidate - or not done to either. Or the gotcha-media shouldn't get to do interviews !!!!

Will agree she did not respond succinctly, but that doesn't explain Mr. Biden of 36 YEARS in the Senate fame, for his FDR Television statement. Where he said, FDR got on T.V. at the beginning of the Depression to reassure the American people. Problem T.V. not invented yet, second,FDR was 3 years away from presidency in 1929.Why wasn't that reported onover and over by the press."pause" waiting for a lame reply, since there is no excuse. With that kind of historical background ,he's a guy I trust to be a heart beat away. Russia's airspace does overlap ours in Alaska. Canadian and American jets do scramble to intercept Russian planes, time frame is semantics.

Indeed.

After all, it was Katie Couric who in a moment of brazen viciousness and some of that, doggone it Pete, "gotcha journalism", unfairly gave Palin a chance to clarify a stance of hers from an earlier hatchet job done by McCain the maverick on her foreign policy experience rising out of the proximity to Russia to Alaska.

I mean why else would Palin say:

"As Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there, they are right next to our state."

Maybe that is the story that Couric did get across. That Palin is an inexperienced hack with no intellectual curiosity at all.

The VP debate only highlighted her ineptitude. Sounded like Ms. South Carolina in the Ms. Alaska beauty pageant.

Seriously Peter, are you not embarrassed? I mean you cannot excuse "cramming for a test" to have produced that gem.
